Hello from Berlin. I recently relocated to Berlin for an extended period. Berlin is a great place to enjoy culture without the stress of massive city like London or New York. In fact, it feels like a big village, without consumer pressure so blatant as in other cities. Public transport and cycle lane networks also make it easier to move around. The picture was taken at Kino International, a movie theatre right in the middle of the former Communist part of the city. Amazing piece of architecture!
Since 2006, when the UN released its Livestock’s Long Shadow report, the world has become aware of the impact that animal agriculture has on the planet’s climate and the environment in general. The report estimated that livestock accounted for 18 percent of all emissions, the highest share for any sector. At current rates of livestock occupation and meat consumption, we would need three earths to meet demand. (Read more)
Neste fim de semana, por iniciativa de meu amigo Luiz, participei da limpeza da praia na foz do Rio Jucu em Vila Velha. Em pouco tempo enchemos 8 sacolas de lixo, e isso porque apenas tocamos a superfície: é praticamente impossível remover todo o lixo. A humanidade tem que parar de tratar a água como depósito de lixo.
